A History of Alligators in Alabama

Event Description Third Thursday in the Gardens: This month’s guest speaker is Stephen Faughn, Extension Agent with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. With recent local sightings of American alligators in Calhoun County, there has been piqued interest in this amazing creature that inhabits swamps, rivers, and lakes in Alabama. Join LBG from 5-6 to learn Bout the largest reptile in North America. To reserve your spot, call Anniston Museum at 256-237-6766. Reservations are required. Cost is $5 per person and free to members. The gardens will be open to the public from 10-5 and guests will have the opportunity to purchase plants from the greenhouses.
