The Alabama Procurement Technical Assistance Center (AL-PTAC) proudly announces six significant upcoming events designed to provide our clients with an opportunity to learn more about Alabama Power Company (APC) and the potential to provide products and/or services to APC. What will be shared at each event? Representatives from Alabama Power Company will present the following important information: • Overview of Alabama Power Procurement Process • Supplier Preparation • How to do business with Alabama Power • Introduction of key business units and supply chain representatives **Participants attending each session should prepare a 2 minute “elevator pitch” to be presented to Alabama Power procurement representatives.** Who Should Attend APC Sessions: Suppliers with…… • Ability to provide verifiable work history • Active Alabama General Contractors License for construction services • Current certificate of insurance • Financial stability • Business safety plan/program • Experience Modification Rating (EMR) 1.0 or less for onsite services • Agreement to perform drug screening and background investigations prior to onsite work Listed below is a small sampling of the products and services procured by Alabama Power: Turbine & Boiler Repair; Right of Way Clearing; Labels, Tags, & Signs; Dredging; Line Construction; Filters; Sandblasting; Substation Construction; Couplings; Scaffolding; Earth Work Pipe, Valves & Fittings; Cooling Tower Repair; Rock Drilling; Conduit & Fittings; Scrubber Work; Storm Restoration; Electrical Field Machining Services; Trenching; Cable/Wire; Pump & Gear Repair; Right of Way Clearing; Commercial Catering (Safety/Health rated); Tool Repair; Vegetation Management.
