HiStories

Date: August 9, 2018 Time: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Event Description The birth of the cattle industry began at the end of the Civil War. Pioneers on their way to a new home realized the land was too dry to farm and instead would be perfect to raise cattle on. Thus, the era of the cowboy was born. Join the Berman Museum for the story of a cowboy who was not very lucky in keeping his clothing for himself in “Why Cowboys Sleep with Their Boots On” and a Wild West craft! This story time is appropriate for ages 5-9 and is free with paid museum admission. Pre-registration is required by calling 256-237-6261.
