Leap of Kindness Day 2020

Date: February 29, 2020
Event Description
What is Leap Of Kindness Day?
Leap of Kindness Day was invented in 2016 by the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce. The idea has spread within the Chamber community and there are more than 50 Chambers of Commerce in 30 states that have organized their own Leap of Kindness Day events. The idea is to get as many people in our community as possible to use the extra day we all get in a Leap Year to do something kind for someone else.

When is Leap Of Kindness Day?
We all have one additional day in this #LeapYear.  We believe the best way to use this one extra day is to do something kind for someone else. We call this Leap of Kindness Day.  The Calhoun County Area Chamber's first #LeapOfKindnessDay, will take place on Saturday, February 29, 2020.

Who can participate in Leap Of Kindness Day?
The Calhoun County Area Chamber is often the facilitator of events, celebrations and movements that bring together leaders of our community from the private, nonprofit and public sectors.  That's really what Leap Of Kindness Day is all about. Inspiring and facilitating everyone in our community to do something kind for someone else. Using the extra day we all get on February 29th during a Leap Year to help and thank others.
Leap Of Kindness Day can help build team work and workplace morale. Employers can use #LeapOfKindnessDay to build employee morale with a focus on kindness and community. EVERYONE is invited to participate. Below are a wide range of ideas and suggestions to help you get started.

What will you do with an extra day?
So what will you do with your extra day in 2020?  On Saturday, February 29, 2020, the Calhoun County Area Chamber & Visitors Center wants to invite you to use your extra day during Leap Year to do something kind for someone else.
You can join our #leapofkindnessday celebration simply by doing something kind for someone else and if someone else on does something kind for you then, pay it forward. You can band together with your coworkers and organize a food or clothing drive. You can champion your own community?s celebration of Leap Of Kindness Day, by sharing it on Social Media.
