Windhorse Workshop
Date: June 6, 2017
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Event Description
The first “Windhorses” were created over 2000 years ago, by people living in the Himalayan Mountains. Select images were painted on pieces of fabric and hung high in the air so that the wind might spread hope, peace, and compassion for all living things throughout the world. Spend a summer morning creating your own colorful “Windhorse” by painting, drawing, and printing on cloth. Make one to keep for yourself and share your art with others by creating extras to hang among the trees at LBG. Our guest artist is Sarah Landrum, art teacher at The Donoho School. Class size is limited to the first 12 registrants. Suggested ages are 7-12. Registration is required. Call 256-237-6766 to reserve your spot. Cost is $10.00 per person and due at time of registration.
