Xterra Parks of Alabama Coldwater Mountain Trail Run 8k/15k

Event Description
Race number 5 of The 2017-2018 XTERRA Parks of Alabama Trail Run Series presented by Black Squirrel Events will be held on January 20th, 2018 at the beautiful Coldwater Mountain.

Course Description: Distance Options 15K or 8K on the trails at Coldwater Mountain Upper Trailhead. Roughly 40 miles from Birmingham, Alabama, near the towns of Anniston and Oxford, Coldwater Mountain serves up a growing network of trails built specifically for mountain biking but offers recreation of all sorts, including trail running. The 4,000-acre land tract was bought in the late 1990s by Alabama’s Forever Wild organization—a land preservation program—and is managed by the state.
Awards: Medals and prizes will be awarded to our overall top 3 Male and Female finishers for each race along with top Male and Female Masters 40-49 and Grand Masters 50 +. We will also be handing out medals to our top 3 Male and Female finishers in each age group (14&U, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70&U). Age based on August 31, 2017 Birthdate.
Chip Timing: Disposable RFID chip timing from ChronoTrack by Race Krewe.
Packet pickup: Will be held at Academy Sports and Outdoors 601 George Wallace Dr Gadsden, AL 35903 Friday January 19th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. And also the morning of the race starting at 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Race starts at 8:00 a.m.. The race will be held rain or shine.
Entry Fees: Includes soft cotton long sleeve race t-shirt – subject to availability for race day registrations. Chance to win a Special Edition XTERRA Alabama Rtic 20 Cooler on Race Day and at the Series Finale at Cheaha State Park. Preregistration 15K Trail Run $35 / Race Day Registration $40. Preregistration 8K Trail Run $30 / Race Day Registration $35.
