Carnivorous Plant Workshop for Children

Event Description This creepy/cool workshop for children ages 8 and up takes a look into the weird world of carnivorous plants. Participants will discover a variety of flesh-eating plants, including those that are native to Alabama. Children will learn about the sundew, the pitcher plant, and the amazing Venus flytrap, plus other bizarre, botanical wonders. Afterwards, each child will take home their very own Venus flytrap to feed and nurture! Cost to participate is $15 per child, regardless of Membership status. Available only to ages 8 and up, this class is limited to a maximum of 25 participants, and pre-registration is required. Call 256-237-6766 x 302 or 303 to reserve your child’s place.
