Event Description
Coldwater Mountain DU #2 is a go! A team event, where teams are drawn at random!
You had a great time last year, so come enjoy this lowkey, for-fun event again. Anniston Runners Club is partnering with NEABA in conjunction with the bike club’s Coldwater Mountain FatTireFest on Saturday, October 17 (FatTireFest takes place Oct. 16-18).
Coldwater Mountain DU will take place at 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17. Run the Janney Furnace 5K that morning and get your GP points, then come DO THE DU for fun that afternoon.
• Each participant will register as a trail runner OR a mountain biker
• Cost is $5 per participant
• Teams will be drawn at random right before the start, which means you won’t know who your partner is until you get there! Any extra runners or bikers will be in the Open Division.
• YES! We will have the same awesome babyhead trophies. Plucked straight off the trails at CWM.
• No event shirts. No age-group awards. No crying in duathlon.
WHEN: Saturday, October 17
WHERE: Coldwater Mountain Trailhead
REGISTRATION: Opens at the Trailhead at 1 p.m.; Closes at 2:30 p.m. (Note: There will be no pre-registration this year.)
Drawing of Teams: 2:30 p.m.
Start of DU: 3:00 p.m. (Mass start of runners)
Awards: 5 p.m. at Coldwater Mountain Trailhead
