DUathlon and Cookout at Coldwater Mountain

Time: 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Event Description
FIRST UP – COMPETITION: Coldwater Mountain DU! As in DUathlon. We’ll hold a trail run and mountain bike event where each participant kicks in $5 for their entry in either the run or bike, then partners will be drawn at random. How fun is that!!?? Cash goes to winners in different categories – to be announced.
COOKOUT – Can’t join us for the Mountain DU, that’s okay! Come on out for the cookout. Running clubs will provide hamburgers and hotdogs and all the fixings. YOU will bring your own drink (adult beverages are allowed) and a side dish, appetizer, or dessert to share! (I want some more of that awesome mac-n-cheese we had at the last GRC social!) If it’s cool enough, we’ll do a bonfire. Think S’MORES!
MOVIE – Movie Under the Stars at the Coldwater Mountain Trailhead – nothing better! We’ve done this a couple of times before, and it’s just plain awesome. Bring your lawn chairs and get ready to sit back and relax and watch a movie after dark on a 30’ screen. (Stay tuned to Facebook to vote for which movie we’ll view.)

2:30 - Meet at Coldwater Mountain Trailhead off Hwy 202; register runners and riders for Mountain DU.
3:00 – Mountain DU starts: Runners go first, then tag their rider upon return to the trailhead. Distances and routes to be decided. It’s all in good fun!
6:00 – Cookout/bonfire
7:00 – Movie
