Family Night at the Museum
Date: June 18, 2015
Time: 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Event Description
One adult required per every four children; adults must accompany children at all times
The Family Night at the Museum fun starts with a tour of Berman Museum of World History. Venture with your family into the depths of Berman Museum’s rarely seen basement, if you dare. There you will explore the vault, where many unusual and exotic treasures from around the world are stored. Afterwards, make the journey next door, to Anniston Museum of Natural History, where you will be given a souvenir flashlight to guide your family through an exciting, in-the-dark tour. Staff members stationed within the Exhibit Halls will share strange and little known facts about the natural world with intrepid visitors. They will also present parents and children with the opportunity to meet some real live animals, along the way. Take a slight detour to visit with the Curator, who will give you a behind-the-scenes look at the Museum. Then enjoy a snack and do some shopping in the Museum Store. Finally, bring this great family evening to an end with an exciting and educational “Awesome Animal” program, complete with live snakes, alligators and bugs–oh my! It’s an evening your family will remember for years to come, but only if you’re there. Don’t miss this chance to be part of all the Family Night fun. Cost is only $10/adult and $8/child, or $8/member adult and $6/member child. Space is limited, and the deadline for registration is June 15, so call today to reserve your family’s place.
Please note: At least one adult is required per every four children in your family group. Adults must accompany children at all times. Due to space and/or accessibility limitations, some areas included in the “behind-the-scenes” portion of the evening are not accessible to visitors in strollers or wheelchairs.
