May 17    Yoga for Gardeners
Third Thursday in the Gardens: Gardening is a great way to stay fit and healthy by adding exercise into your regular routine, but the downside of that exercise is that pulling, pushing, bending, and squatting can result in stiffness, poor alignment, and pain. Yoga for Gardeners, taught by Sharon Wilkins, will address these issues with poses that focus on stretching, flexibility, and balance and will begin by bringing your attention into the present with concentration on your breathing. Poses will include the following positions: supine, seated/on hands and knees, and standing. To reserve your spot, call Anniston Museum at 256-237-6766. Reservations are required and class size is limited to 25 guests. Cost is $5.00 per person and free to members. If you have your own yoga mat, please bring it.
