The City of Anniston is excited to offer all sorts of awesome activities for our youth this Spring Break season! This year we will be offering our annual youth job fair, a spring break camp, plus a separate slate of fun activities!

YOUTH JOB FAIR:

Our annual Youth Summer Job Fair will be held at the Carver Community Center (720 W. 14th St, Anniston, AL 36201) on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 5:00 PM CT! In addition, tips on completing job applications and preparing for interviews will be given! All youth jobs will be open for applications from March 20th until April 7th. The City of Anniston will be hiring youths, ages 16 through college, for the following Summer Jobs: Day Camp Director – $14.92 (Per HR), Day Camp Counselor – $10.19 (Per HR), Lifeguard – $11.15- $14.28 (Per HR), Turf Care Worker – $10.19 (Per HR), Program Aide – $10.19 (Per HR). For more information, you may contact the City of Anniston Human Resources Department at 256-231-7712 and 256-231-7722, or visit us online at: www.annistonal.gov/events/youth-summer-job-fair 

SPRING BREAK CAMP: 

To start, the Wiggins Community Center (2202 W 17th St, Anniston, AL 36201) will be offering a spring break day camp for local youth from March 25 to March 28 from 7:00 AM CT until 5:30 PM CT each day! This day camp is for children ages 3-12. There will be job training opportunities for interested children ages 13+. The cost is $50 for the week, or $15 per day, and Camperships are also available! SPRING BREAK ACTIVITIES:

Our Parks and Recreation Department will be offering the below activities for the week of spring break! Please note, the field trip on Thursday requires pre-registration online! For more information on our events, call 256-241-7164! View this event online at: www.annistonal.gov/events/spring-break.

  • Monday, March 25 (11:00 AM to 3:00 PM CT)

    • Location: South Highland Center (229 S Allen Ave, Anniston, AL 36207)

      • Activities: Bubble Bar War, Crafts, Bingo, & a Movie!

  • Tuesday, March 26 (11:00 AM to 3:00 PM CT)

    • Location: Hodges Community Center (3125 Spring Valley Rd, Anniston, AL 36207)

      • Activities: Learning Pickleball, Scavenger Hunt, & Flag football!

  • Wednesday, March 27 - FIELD TRIP DAY (9:00 AM CT to 5:00 PM CT)

    • We will depart by city bus at approximately 9:00 AM CT from the Anniston City Meeting Center (1615 Noble Street, Anniston, AL).

    • We plan to return to the Anniston City Meeting Center between 4 PM CT and 5 PM CT.

    • Please note, this trip is only open to children who reside in the city limits of Anniston.

  • Thursday, March 28 (11:00 AM to 3:00 PM CT)

    • Location: Youth Sports Complex (745 Summerall Gate Rd, Anniston, AL 36206)

      • Activities: Games, moon bounce, face painting, & flashlight egg hunt!
