City of Anniston News Release: 3/18/2024

Good Afternoon, 

The City of Anniston asks that everyone please be aware of freezing temperatures that are forecast to occur next week. In light of the projected weather conditions a public warming station, coordinated by United Way of East Central Alabama in partnership with the City of Anniston, His Hands and Feet Ministries, and MeMe’s Heart, will open in the evening at 5:00 PM CT on Monday, March 18, 2024, and close in the morning at 8:00 AM CT on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. 

The warming station is located in The Bridge at Anniston First United Methodist Church, located at 1400 Noble Street, Anniston, AL 36201. Please note, admission into the warming station ends each night at 9:00 PM CT. An extension of the station is possible in the event the forecast changes.
