Grand Opening of Valkyries Headquarters Set for October 18th

ANNISTON, AL - September __, 2017 – Valkyries Austere Medical Solutions will celebrate the grand opening of its Headquarters and Training Center at 141-14th Army Band Road in Anniston at 9 AM on October 18th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house.  Valkyries is working closely with the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce to make the Anniston community aware of this new business in Anniston.  The ribbon-cutting will take place at 10 AM and the open house will extend until 1 PM.  Congressman Mike Rogers and other government, civic and business leaders have been invited to attend.

Valkyries began business in January of 2016.  It designs and implements a diverse selection of first responder and pre-hospital provider courses to institutions, companies and individuals.  The courses enable those who are trained to meet the increasingly demanding threats encountered in daily life.  Valkyries serves a diverse cross-section of students, from average citizens seeking to increase their medical knowledge and assessment skills to experienced medics who wish to improve and update their skill sets.

Aaron Jamison is the CEO of Valkyries and its primary instructor.  He rose in the ranks of the Army to Sergeant First Class and served in the Iraq War, specializing in small unit assignments whose missions included reconnaissance, light infantry, special operations and combat medicine.  In civilian life, Jamison was a leader with Atlanta’s Grady Health System Emergency Medical Services.  During his career with Grady, Jamison co-founded and commanded the Special Operations Team and was a designer of the Biosafety Transport Team.

The facility is located on the grounds of the former Fort McClellan.  Valkyries acquired the building on 6-3/4 acres from the McClellan Development Authority, which assumed control of Fort McClellan and purchased the entire property from the City of Anniston.  Valkyries renovated the facility into a state-of-the-art headquarters and training center.

“What sets Valkyries apart,” said Jamison, “is the hands-on individualized training we provide our clients.  We customize our training to meet the special requirements and needs of our clients.  We want our clients to be able to hit the street or the trail and immediately use the skills they have learned in real-time challenging situations.”
